How To Contribute Artwork

They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and this is no different. Slam eCards are often times much more impactful when matched with the proper artwork or imagery.

Choosing the Artwork

Artwork should be chosen to be complementary to the "message" of the card. Occasionally the artwork is able to stand alone, and convey the "message" of the card without any actual message text, but generally it's the other way around.

Artwork Dimensions

The recommended dimensions for Slam eCard artwork is:

• 600px wide by 400px tall
• maximum width allowed is 600px
• prefer horizontally oriented images with an aspect ratio of 6x4
• thumbnail image dimensions are 120px wide by 80px tall

Text in Artwork

It is generally not recommended to include the card's message as text in the image itself, and better to layer the text over the artwork using HTML/CSS (done via "templates").

If you feel very strongly to add the text as part of the artwork, go ahead and do so sparingly. Note that type that is part of the image itself does not translate into other languages.
